Goldenbone
Golden - the color of her fur. Bone - as she is a leader. Though as a warrior she was known as Goldenclaw, for her sharp claws.
ROCKCLAN | LEADER |
60 MOONS | FEMALE | ABYSSINIAN |
GREENLEAF | HETEROSEXUAL |
DESCRIPTION
A large, broad shaped head with abnormally large and pointed ears. She has golden, almond shaped eyes and small oval shaped paws. Her claws, while not unnaturally large, are very well kept and therefor extremely sharp. A medium sized body with medium long, silky fur and long legs. Very lithe and noble. Because of Goldenbone's long legs and lithe structure, she can run far and fast as well as maneuver around objects swiftly with ease.
Despite her lithe and light build, unlike most of Rockclan's bulky builds, she is a rather good fighter. Cats larger than herself may prove to be harder to handle, though she is still confident and well experienced in battles; often using her graceful movements to out-wit the enemy, or her long legs to out-run them.
She has a long tail. It's broad at the base and slowly comes down to a small tip at the end. The tip of Goldenbone's tail being a darker shade than the rest of her fur. With a long tail, she maintains great balance and swift movement in long runs. However the tail is an easy target for any opponent as it often sticks out and she forgets to tuck it in during battles.
Goldenbone is an excellent hunter. There are very few things that she can not catch. With her long, strong legs, Goldenbone can leap high into the air to catch a bird too low to the ground. Or she can run quickly after a hare. Mice and squirrels are harder to catch, but not impossible.
Finally, she has a quiet yet engaging voice.

PERSONALITY
Goldenbone is a very extroverted, active, playable, and intelligent cat who likes to engage in active conversations daily. She encourages a positive aura throughout the clan and promotes favorites among warriors, mentors, and apprentices. The belief that hard work will earn you rewards does not go unnoticed in Goldenbone's personality. As an extremely hard worker, she expects the same and no less of her clan. She enforces her own morals in the young in hopes they grow up in her image, and in the image of Boneclan. Strength above all else, work hard and you will be rewarded. Be close with your clan and do not trust the others. Only what is best for your own.
A lack of interaction, both physical and verbal, can lead to spurts of depression. During these times she gets incredibly unpredictable, incredibly dangerous, and incredibly vile. A very selfish and uncaring she-cat comes out of the closet to 'play' during this period. No cat is safe when Goldenbone is upset. However, thankfully, this does not happen often. Though no one can predict when it will happen unless they pay close attention to her behavior.
She enjoys exploring and heights. Seeking out new and interesting places within, and sometimes out-of, the territory. If it has the potential to help her clan, she will leap on claiming it. But keep in mind that she is also reasonable, sensible, and intelligent. Not one to take unnecessary risks unless it truly would help aid the clan, or, if they are in dire need of more. (Help, land, prey, etc.)
Play and spar are not unfamiliar traits to Goldenbone. She will actively participate in clan activities to better her knowledge on the clan members. How they work, what they like, and how well trained they are. She can go on for hours doing the same thing.
She is a clean and proper she-cat. Grooming is a common occurance and she loathes those who do not clean as regularly as she does, especially within her own clan. In fact, if they are within her clan, she may very well take it upon herself to clean them herself. As a dirty clan, in her mind, is not a clan worth thunderpath kill.
Finally, she is a cat of Boneclan code. If they told her to leap onto the thunderpath, she would damn well do it. Boneclan code is the only true code, and no cat can convince her otherwise. If one were to go against the code of Boneclan, they would risk the wrath of Goldenbone.

HISTORY
Goldenbone was born as a single, timid kit to a very powerful father, Russetthorn, and a very pure mother, Ambereye. Without any siblings to play with, and no other kits at the time, it was a very boring and lonely kithood. She longed day and night for the company of friends and for the day she would become an apprentice.
Russetthorn began to privately teach his daughter tips and tricks on how to be the best apprentice, and warrior, that she would one day be. Ambereye was unaware of this and when Russetthorn was not teaching Goldenbone fighting techniques, Ambereye was teaching her hunting techniques. With her parents combined, secret efforts, by the time Goldenbone was an apprentice, she had already learned a lot.
It was promised to both parents that she would never tell any cat about her before-apprentice training, not even to her newly appointed mentor, Ravenfur. Ravenfur was a mean, grumpy old tom. But he did his best to teach Goldenbone all that he could, and was surprised when Goldenbone learned so quickly.
During her apprentice training, Goldenbone was nearly killed. A fox attacked the young she-cat and if it weren't for a patrol, she would have certainly perished. A moon of recovery was required before Goldenbone could return to her apprentice duties, and because of that, her warrior ceremony was pushed back.
It took a lot of strenth -- mental, emotional, and physical -- to not yell, shout at, and smack around those responcible for encouraging the leader at the time to hold back her warrior cermony. Goldenbone, at the time Goldenpath, was more than ready for her cermony. Before she was an apprentice she had already been learning the ways of being a warrior. All of the wait was nonsense and it drove her mad, mad into her first real period of depression.
During this time, Goldenbone spent mornings alone and evenings hunting exra prey for the fresh-kill pile. She worked herself hard just so that she could be alone, so she could be praised, and so she could be seen as better than the other cats. Her deeds did not go unnoticed, though no one understood the reasons behind these deeds, and soon she was named Goldenclaw. For her sharp claws in hunting and fighting.
The wave of depression fled her quickly and soon she was back to being bouncy, social, and as curious as ever. Being a warrior meant that she could leave the camp without informing others of it. She could go on more patrols, hunt by herself, and her voice would be heard more. Even better, it meant she had the chance of having her own apprentice. And even better than that, she had the chance of going to clan meetings during no-moon and, perhaps, being involved in the traditional no-moon fight to the death.
Her parents were proud, and seeing as they had created such a strong and willing warrior, tried for a second litter, but in vain. No kits were produced and they eventually gave up. Because of this, the leader thought them both weak and forced them to go through apprentice training again. The leader said this would make them fertile again and they would produce the clan with health kits.
Goldenbone did nothing to stop this. In fact, all of the cats agreed with the leader, even Russetthorn and Ambereye. So the training went on and, once completed, they tried for another litter. But again in vain. Uncertain of what would happen next, the leader put them both under close watch. Perhaps the warriors had grown too old and weak, and needed to be put out of their weakening misery. Though both Russetthorn and Ambereye were actually healthy. Just nearing the end of their prime, but able and willing to fight and hunt for the clan.
Goldenbone thought that if she told the leader of her parents strength to teach her before she was an apprentice, then perhaps the leader would still see her parents as strong. They were, after all, some of the strongest cats that she had ever known. And to deny she had any feelings toward them would be a sin against Boneclan itself.
So on a hopeful whim she informed the leader of her parents training her during kit years. This enranged the leader, rather than reassured, and ultimately closed the deal on Goldenbone's parents situation.
They had broken the code, and so the leader; cruel and crazed, decided they would fight until one was dead. Obedient as ever, the warriors agreed and bid each other farewell before fighting to the death. In the end, Ambereye proved victorious over Russetthorn. The leader praised Ambereye as a strong warrior, and this proved to Goldenbone that she-cats were certainly stronger than toms.
But Ambereye quietly mourned the loss of her mate. Over the years she had grown unbearably attached to him, despite knowing this was not the way of the clans. Her will to live had been lost, but she could not go out without revenge. And what better way than to completely embarass the entire clan, leader included?
Ambereye worked up her strength again and in doing this, got exactly what she wanted. She was chosen to fight in the traditional fight-to-the-death battles during no-moon gathering. Goldenbone, unaware of her mothers intentions, was thrilled and congratulated her. She also wished her the best of luck, as Goldenbone would not be at the gathering.
When the time came to fight at the gathering, Ambereye did not fight. She didn't even try. The first to fall was she, Ambereye, and that was her intention all along. Purposely die first to curse her clan for forcing her to kill Russetthorn. The leader realized this almost immediately after it happened and went crazy-mad. Trust became a rare thing in Rockclan, and any cat would have expected Goldenbone to be the last cat the leader trusted.
But when Ravenfur attempted to take the leaders life, and Goldenbone killed Ravenfur to protect the leader, all of what was left of the leaders trust was embedded into Goldenbone. The current deputy was kicked from their position and quickly replaced by Goldenbone; and soon after the leader died, turning Goldenclaw into Goldenbone.
Everything she had learned throughout her life was put into her new position of power. Females were pure and the stronger sex, while males were the lesser. But the clan had to be put above all, along with the code of Boneclan, or else the clan would break apart and chaos would soon follow.
She became the leader of Rockclan at 54 moons.
