DESCRIPTION
Blackpelt is a long haired Bombay mix, getting the traditional black from the Bombay side, and the long fur from another unknown breed. In the light you can see two very slightly different shades of black in his coat in the pattern of tabby stripes, whenever he has free time he enjoys keeping this pelt clean. His fur covers his large paws, leaving a very short tip of fur behind his paws, with large amounts of very long fur on his rump. During Greenleaf he looses a lot of his fur, and the usually thick coat becomes thinner and easier to maintain for Blackpelt.
He has a large build, with broad shoulders, his head hangs low, he strolls rather than walks, he has large paws with well kept claws. He has long white whiskers, with a small black nose, his lower jaw is quite large, hiding yellow tinted teeth behind it. His eyes are large with a light green coloured iris, the edge of his iris has a faint brown tint, and is often seen with a lazy stare, although he can look very intimidating if he feels the need for it.
He's quick on his paws, with great ability to hide in dark areas due to his dark fur. Although he's quick, he can be clumsy at times, often tripping and ruining hunts on himself. Blackpelt has quick attacks, but large openings, he struggles with dodging, and often returns hurt after battles.

PERSONALITY
Blackpelt is a quiet, lazy cat. He doesn't bother other cats with boring conversation unless he has to, although, he can keep a conversation quite easily with cats he's closer to. He has an excuse for disliking large and intense conversations, he feels that he would say something he would end up regretting, that it would end up having a chain reaction, so he doesn't bother. Blackpelt is laid back, he doesn't act like he cares too much about things and tends to put on an act that he does most things with ease, even though he finds himself struggling with some.
He can be found playing with the kits when they get bored of the elders and want to annoy other cats, he doesn't mind them attacking him or acting out the part of an enemy warrior, although this is rare, he still finds some enjoyment out of the cute kits playing the fool around him and the other warriors. He rarely looses his temper, and refuses to hold grudges claiming that "Life is too short for that crap." He is optimistic, especially in dark times, he manages to keep a bright expression on his face.
Blackpelt can't lie, he's completely unbelievable when he tries it, and ends up looking the fool after. Although he jokes and plays around more than anything when he's not relaxing in the sun, he works as hard as he can, constantly trying to help other cats with their issues whenever he can. When given a job he is determined to finish it to the best of his ability, he's a loyal cat to his clan and loved ones.
He has a hate for rain and rivers, as he believes it ruins the appearance of his fur, and that it leaves him freezing for hours while he tries to dry off in the sun. During Greenleaf is when he is seen as his happiest, he enjoys the pleasant weather rather than the constant rain and snow.

HISTORY
k i t
As a kit he was much more active and excited about every little thing that happened in the camp. He was often seen as mischievous as he caused trouble around the camp, by hiding prey, later to be found gone off, or going out of the camp to search for weak prey without any other cat knowing. Although he was a goof, and constantly in trouble with is mother, he was always kind and shared what he had. When he was born, he had one brother who had died almost immediately after they were born, leaving Blackkit on his own. He spent most of his time playing with his mother, a gorgeous brown tabby cat with short fur, and bright green eyes, she was small, with white paws, with the name of Whitewind, she was kind and playful, always willing to spend as much time as she could with her lone kit. They played day in and day out, Blackkit jumping on her back and tapping her ears with gentle, fluffy paws. His father, on the other hand, was completely different. Although he was always kind to Blackkit, he never made time for him. He was jet black, with a large build, and gorgeous long fur with a long tail to go with it. Longtail was his name, his face always looked worn, even in his young age, like the waves hitting against rocks, eroding away the smoothness to create jagged edges. Blackkit used to try and impress his father as he got older, try to imitate fighting moves against twigs and mice that wandered into camp.

The day he was made an apprentice was one of his happiest days, he sat between Whitewind and his father before being called up for the ceremony. He was made apprentice with another kit, she had short cream fur with a brown maw, tail and paws, with the most beautiful blue eyes, with faint tabby like patterns on her fur. She went by the name of Bluepath. They were quick friends, sharing meals, while the older apprentices made fun on them for being younger and not being able to go to gatherings, but were often ignored. Blackpath became more relaxed at this point, he was a fast learner, and got on well with most, but best with Bluepath. During a patrol with his father leading, they spotted a badgers newly made home. He was told to back away with another warrior to watch how it was handled, and to only help when needed. Longtail was first to attack the female badger, using his speed to get behind her and get onto her back. Loosing his balance, the badger managed to land a blow on his left hind leg, leaving him unable to get up as the cut was so deep and painful. The other warriors continued to attack the badger, as Blackpath made his way around quietly so nobody would noticed, pouncing behind the distracted creature to land a quick blow on her back, sending her running, the two other warriors continued to chase her off soon to return to inspect Longtails condition. Returning to the camp, he was brought straight to the Medicine cat. A few days later, it was made known he could no longer carry out his warrior duties due to his injury and would have to join the elders in their den. Ever since that day, Longtail grew closer to Blackpath, who would visit him every day with news on what he had done that day. His mother had returned to her warrior duties once more, and tried to keep up with Blackpath and his progress but was always too busy to see him daily.

He was made a warrior during Greenleaf, he had honed his skills, using speed as his greatest ally in fights. He was given the name Blackpelt. Bluepaw gaining the name of Bluestorm, the pair were extremely close, and his mother and father would tease him about having a crush on her. During Leaf-bare, his father, Longtail, and his now mate, Bluestorm had both caught greencough, and were soon dead after they had caught it. This stopped Blackpelt in his tracks, with only his mother left as his family, he was constantly protecting her whenever he could, she had now moved to the elders den, giving her plenty of time to herself, that was constantly taken up by her sons visits. After a few moons, he calmed down, slowly loosening his grip on his mother, still visiting her, growing lazier and calmer that before, with a cheerful attitude and kindness to all things. He worked hard when he was given a job, although it seemed like he never cared. He always tried to to the job right to the best of his ability, and when the Deputy position opened he assumed that it was going to be given to an older cat than himself, but he couldn't know for sure.
