being in charge was always some sort of hassle, whether it be watching the underling warriors fight their way into the den, or just getting by the moon without too much work on her part. thymebone, after being in this place of leadership for boneclan-knows how long, had gotten what she deserved in life: superiority, leadership, and a deputy that she could actually rely on- if she relied on anyone, that is.
so, today was the day that the longhaired grey tabby chose to set up a patrol to the thicket, to the maze-like area of pineclan territory. she only chose those few cats that she knew could maneuver it with ease, and she was the one leading it. no, lionheart would not take over today- it was the leader's turn to actually do what she should. so, after looking over her shoulder at the party behind her, she turned her head to face forward again, a slight breeze ruffling her long fur.
"Alright, patrol. Split up into two teams. Whoever catches the most prey will be able to eat before the losers." she stated, a flick of the ear occurring once hearing at least some sort of approval. "In that case, half of you, follow me. The other half can do whatever." she added, her paws now leading her deeper into the thicket of foliage, her whiskers twitching every couple steps. there wasn't much of a scent of prey around here currently, she realized with a tight frown on her maw. no matter; her patrol would win this anyway. sometimes, you needed to put a small game up in the air so that they would work better for your sake. at least, that's the thing thymebone always knew.
